LEARNING AND TEACHING IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN SOUTHERN AFRICA
12 - 13 April 2018
The University of Eduardo Mondlane, Faculty of Education (Mozambique) is hosting the first annual Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in Southern Africa Conference, from 12 - 13 April 2018.
Focus of the conference
The focus of the conference is on enhancing teaching and learning in higher education. Topics include:
" Learning and teaching in higher education
" Curriculum in higher education
" Use of ICTs in higher education
" Assessment methods in higher education
" Professional development of academics as teachers
" Equity of access and outcomes for student learning.
Who should attend?
" Academic developers
" Lecturers interested in improving teaching and learning and enhancing their own practice
" Education practitioners
Programme
The 12 April is open to all and will consist of paper presentations and workshops.
The 13 April will consist of a working meeting of the SAULT Forum and of the Rurality research project.
Submission of abstracts and workshop proposals
Please send abstracts of papers or proposals for workshops (no more than 250 words) containing the following information:
" Title of presenter(s)
" Contact information
" Paper abstract or workshop proposal with 250 words.
Your abstract should reach us at saultconference2018@gmail.com by 20 February 2018. You should receive an acceptance or refusal of your abstract by 10 March 2018.
Registration
" There is a registration fee of 1,000 Meticais (equivalent to 250 SA Rands) for the 12 April only and a registration fee of 2,000 Meticais (R 500) for the 12 and 13 April combined. The registration fee should be paid by 15 March 2018.

anual de Ensino e Aprendizagem no Ensino Superior na África Austral, a ter
lugar de 12 a 13 de Abril de 2018.
Foco da Conferência
O foco da conferência é o aprimoramento do ensino e da aprendizagem no ensino superior. Os tópicos incluem:

aprendizagem no ensino superior

ensino superior
• Uso das TIC no
ensino superior
• Métodos de
avaliação no ensino superior
• Desenvolvimento
profissional de académicos como professores
• Equidade de
acesso e dos resultados para a aprendizagem dos alunos.

está aberto a todos e consistirá em apresentações de comunicações e workshops.
O dia 13 de Abril
consistirá numa reunião de trabalho do Fórum SAULT e do projecto de pesquisa sobre
Ruralidade.
